Joe Riekers is an up and coming country music songwriter from Rockwall, Texas near Dallas.  His literary background includes being the author of five books and hundreds of magazine articles.  His songs are based on down-to-earth, real-life Americana based stories.  The songs range from serious to funny and rockin' to ballads.  Joe's first song that he collaborated with his two sons on, "Friday Night" received a commercial recording contract from a well established California based recording company to appear on a compilation albumn.  Joe's other songs such as "Treestand", "Outlaw Man", "Cowboy in Your Dreams", "Where Did All The Green Grass Go" and "Girl of Mine" have landed commercial recording contracts from Nashville based companies.  Joe's new albumn "Leave the City Behind" is available digital formats and hard copy from Amazon.com, among other sources.  The albumn is a purely acoustic arrangement featuring new songs such as  "Nina", and a Christmas/Holiday song with a distinct country theme called "The Best Gift of All".
